Mother & Daughter Team:

Karen & Carly Schloss

Our story is one of making lemonade out of lemons.

Just after Karen got engaged, she and her mother Judy set out shopping for wedding invitations. They found that with their knowledge, extensive design and sales backgrounds, they could start their own invitation business. They loved the idea of working together, being able to share their expertise and be part of their clients happy and joyous occasions.

And so, Creative Impressions was launched in June of 1991.

This home-based business not only allowed Karen to be home raising her two children whie continuing to work with her clients and doing what she loves. After 10 years, Judy retired from day to day operations, but continued on in client development keeping the mother- daughter team together.

Over the past 29 years, Karen has continued working with clients designing the perfect invitation.

Karen continues to play a part in many of her clients celebrations, from their wedding invitations, to announcing the births of their babies, to creating their children’s B’nai Mitzvah invitations, and yes, to designing wedding invitations for those babies that are now all grown up!!  She loves working with her clients and is passionate about creating invitations for all occasions.

Her clients are truly family to her!

In March of 2020 things drastically changed in our world, due to a global pandemic. Invitations had been designed for Wedding and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs that would never happen. Clients had mailed invitations weeks earlier for events that now were being cancelled. Heart break set in for all!

That heartbreak extended not only to her business but to her family as well. Karen’s daughter Carly was embarking on her last semester of college. There was so much excitement for her graduation, summer travel plans and job prospects in NY and L.A.  All of this came to an abrupt halt. Both Karen and Carly were left to ponder… what’s next?

As invitations were put on hold, Karen and Carly watched celebrations being held on Zoom.  Then came their AHA moment.  Why not ship Celebration boxes for all occasions. Now was the time and this was the way to continue to spread happiness and bring a smile to those who were still celebrating milestones!!

With this decision, and their combined design experience and creativity, the next generation Mother-Daughter team was born!

We are proud to announce Creative Impressions latest edition, TOAST!

There will always be something to celebrate.

So let’s send some good cheer and start “TOAST”ing!
